Anyone who knows me knows that I speak openly about my love for the Liberal Party.
As Steven Marshall was being sworn in as our new Premier at a private Government House ceremony I was busy reading about the man who will reshape South Australia.
It is expected that a full Cabinet will be sworn in on Thursday, before meeting for the first time as an elected Government next week.
Already sworn in is Vicki Chapman his deputy and money man Rob Lucas. Vicki Chapman is also the Attorney-General, David Ridgway will take Primary Industries portfolio, Human Services Minister will be Michelle Lensink, Steven Wade will be the new Minister for Health, David Pisoni will head up Transport, John Gardner will be Minister for Education, Rachel Sanderson will head up Child Protection and Stephan Knoll will be the Emergency Services Minister.
Mr. Marshall has already pledged that he will deregulate shop trading hours as soon as possible.
He has called on the new Upper House to respect the reform “mandate” delivered to his party at the ballot box and pass controversial elements of his agenda including expanded shop trading hours and putting caps on council rate rises.
As an outspoken Liberal supporter, I strongly believe that Steven Marshall and his team will do well for our State.
